Suzanne, Shana and Landon, my sympathy to all of you in the death of "Mr. Ike". He was a wonderful man and I always enjoyed seeing and visiting with him.
He was such a family man and loved his family so much, but it went beyond that. He loved everyone and you could always see the love in him and could also feel the love. I know you all will miss him but I hope. You are comforted be all of the memories you have . I love you all.

So sorry to hear about "Uncle" Ike's passing! He was a kind and loving man and that smile could melt ice! Although I never had him for a teacher, I was blessed to spend time with him at many of our Ewing/Robertson family events! He was always there to lend his support!
Uncle Ike, thank you for your service to our country and for helping out in so many other ways! We will always remember you with love, and will truly miss you!
Love and prayers for all the family!

Mr. Ike was like a second father to me. I got to know him when my brother Butch was in his class. Butch would help him on the farm and I would stay around the house and play while they were in the field. My most fondest times is when Mr. Ike and coach Pool were cutting hay on our place. Mr.Ike took me under his wing and let ride with him on his WD45 tractor, all the time showing me the do's and don'ts of operating farm machinery. I can remember coming home after school getting my home work done and running out back to pasture where they were working. Mr. Ike would stop and let me climb aboard with him and off we'd go cutting or baling hay. I'd stay out with him till they stopped for the day. I took four years of agriculture under him and loved ever minute of it. I still have the knife Mr. Ike gave me as graduation present from high school. Now it means just that much more to me. Mr. Ike will surly be missed by a lot of people. Those that don't or didn't know him like I did have truly missed out on knowing one of the most fine and outstanding men that I am proud to say that I know. Love and prayers for you Sandra, Susanne and Paula. Your daddy will for ever hold a special place in my heart and I will always have the special memories of our time together. God bless you all and the rest of the family.

Uncle Ike, you were a special person to me. I always admired you and respected you highly. You were my teacher at Block High, but you were also my family. You were always part of our family, attended Ewing reunions, and shared our Robertson family stories with me. I will miss the way you'd smile!! Thanks for the good example and your service to your country, and for being a wonderful Uncle' even if we're cousins. You leave a wonderful legacy. Nell Carrico Denova and Sal

Thoughts and prayers at this time. What a life he has lived and the legacy he leaves behind. I enjoyed our time together at the American Red Cross and hearing of his adventures through his daughter, Sandra Taylor.
