Tessie Spencer Obituary
Pineville - Funeral services for Faye Spencer will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at Kingville Baptist Church, Ball with Col. Darryl Fortenberry, Reverend Bart Walker, Reverend Brian South and Dr. Steve Horn officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
The family requests that visitation be observed Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at Kingsville Baptist Church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
Mrs. Spencer, 81, of Pineville passed from this life, Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Rapides Regional Medical Center surrounded by all of her children.
She faithfully served along side her husband in ministry and deeply loved her children. She was a member of Kingsville Baptist Church for 43 years, she faithfully served as a Sunday School teacher for over 50 years and was a member of the WMU and many other women's ministries. She was passionate about medical mission work during her twenty-one years of working at Robinson Eye Clinic.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Thomas James " Bro. Jim" Spencer; parents, Thomas C. and Viola J. Borde Knight; brothers, Fielding J. Knight, Richard Knight; sisters, Mattie Lee Thompson, Ernestine Shetler, Grace Guilott and Barbara Ann Chandler.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Tom Spencer and wife, Dawn, daughter, Deb Forbes and husband, Kendall, daughter, Sharon Richardson and husband, Bob and daughter, Beth Fincher and husband, Blake; brother-in-law, Darryl Fortenberry and his wife, Betty; grandchildren, Chase Forbes, Caroline Forbes, Sayer Forbes and wife, Alyssa, Caitlin Richardson and husband, Rob, Cade Richardson and wife, Kaylee, Georgia Moran, Brittany Spencer, Deidra Moran, Catherine Spencer, Emma Moran, Spencer Bryant, Fielding Bryant, Annalise Bryant, Ford Fincher, Liberty Fincher; great grandchildren, Tristan James Forbes, Hudson Robert Richardson and Luke Thomas Richardson; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
