PATRICIA PATTY ZOOK MAGER Patricia "Patty" Zook Mager (born 1/23/47) passed away peacefully On August 1, 2017 after a long struggle with COPD. Patty was born in Eureka, California to Harry and Violet Zook. She attended both Elementary and High School in Eureka and spent her summers at the family cabin in Willow Creek where a good time was had by many. Many of Patty's fondest memories were of her childhood in Willow Creek; swimming the Trinity River and watching the stars while laying out on the road on a warm summer evening. Patty is best remembered for her wild spirit and her willingness to always stand up for what she thought was right. Many have memories of her "borrowing" a car for a joy ride, and there are many other stories of wild adventures. Patty spent many hours supporting her children in various community activities, including little league and the local saddle club. Patty's greatest joy was watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow and she was blessed to be surrounded by them on a daily basis. She took great pride in their success and was their number one fan. Patty was very proud of her heritage and loved listening to Irish music; she spent many hours researching family history to pass down to the next generation. Patty is survived by her husband Ben Mager, her children Stephanie (Chris), Mandy (Aaron) and John (Jennifer), her grandchildren Anthony, Benjamin, Lucas, Will, Charlie, Canyon and Maia, and great grandchildren Riley, Allie and Konnor. She also leaves behind her sister Barbara Zook Mooney and brother James Zook. She leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews including her special niece/friend Susan Lane, her daughter-in-law Jennifer who she considered her third daughter, and lifetime friends. Patty was preceded in death by her infant son David James Juchtzer, and granddaughter Madison Mager as well as her parents. She was blessed to have amazing caregivers from Hospice and Linda Lewis in her final days; for that we will always be grateful. Per her request there will not be any services.
