Alan Ainsworth Obituary

HARDWICK - Alan J. Ainsworth, 54, passed away peacefully on Aug. 23, 2018, at the Barre Gardens Rehabilitation facility.
He was born in Hardwick, Vermont, on Nov. 20, 1963, to Stan and Mary Lou (Moore) Ainsworth. Alan was a graduate of Hazen Union School, class of 1981.
He worked for Pizzagalli Construction, Trow N' Holden and Cabot Creamery before starting his own lawn and home maintenance business.
He enjoyed golfing, cooking - especially pies - and helping others.
Alan is survived by his daughter, Alyssa Ainsworth, and her mother, Debra Monteith, of Deltona, Florida, and parents Stan and Mary Lou Ainsworth. He also leaves behind his sister, Lynette and her companion, Jeremy Allen, his brother, Brian Ainsworth, all of Hardwick; Uncle John Ainsworth, of North Hampton, Massachusetts, a nephew, Josh (and Caitlyn) Ainsworth, niece Heather Ainsworth, Aunt Florence and Harold Marti; seven cousins, Elaine (and Paul) Brochu, Allison Martin and daughter Desiree, Maria (and James) Johnson, Danielle (and David) Bailey, Melissa (and Dale) Hall, Lori Martin, Aaron Martin and fiance Casey (all of Hardwick); as well as many friends.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2018, at 11 a.m. at St. Norbert Church in Hardwick with Rev. John Milanese officiating and committal directly following in Fairview Cemetery.
Contributions in Alan's name may be made to Mary Queen of All Saints, 193 South Main St., Hardwick; or the Hardwick Area Food Pantry, 39 West Church St., Hardwick.
