James Vick Obituary
Mr. James Junior Vick, 95, of Ellijay, passed away Sunday, Nov. 3, 2024 at his residence.
He was born Nov. 30, 1928, in Gilmer County, to the late Earl Vick and Dessie Hensley.
He was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church and a veteran for the U.S. military. He was also self-employed as a mechanic for many years.
He is preceded in death by wife of 63 years, Alene Dorothy Davis Vick.
He is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Freddie (Joanne) Vick, and Michael (Tammy) Vick, all of Ellijay; grandchildren, Nikki Vick Standridge, Dyan (Jade) Vick, Shannon (Nikki) Chastain, Hannah (Joey) Davis and Jeff (Lauren) Vick; and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2024, from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with the Rev. Wallace Park and the Rev. Paul Richards officiating.
Music was by Kayla Easley.
Pallbearers were Randy Ponder, Jimmy Knight, Clay Vick and Clinton Sanford. Interment followed in the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.
Donations can be made to the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery Fund in memory of Mr. Vick.
Bernhardt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
