October 3, 1927 - November 28, 2024

Ann Allen Wilson Bryant, widow of William Marcellus Bryant, Jr., died Thursday, November 29, 2024. Her daughter, Jane Randolph Bryant, also predeceased her. She is survived by her son, William Marcellus Bryant, III, and his wife, Renee. Surviving also are her granddaughters, Andrea Rogers, Michelle Matthews, Shannon Nice; five great-grandchildren, and her sister Jane Rolston.

Born on October 3, 1927, to William Irving and Gershon Allen Wilson, she was educated in Richmond Public Schools and graduated from the original John Marshall High School, Class of 1945. With a double major in history and English, she graduated from Westhampton College of the University of Richmond in 1949. After teaching for two years, she entered the Masters in English Bible program at the Presbyterian School of Christian Education. From 1968 to 1993 she taught English in Richmond and then in Chesterfield Public Schools.

A life-long Presbyterian, she was currently a member of Third Church, Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians.

Her firm hope: Philippians 2:10,11

She was a member of Richmond, Virginia Chapter Colonial Dames 17th Century, the Jamestowne Society, the Clopton Family Association, and Commonwealth Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution. For many years she and her husband served on the Lake Society of the University of Richmond and were members of the Boatwright Society.

Burial was private in the Wilson family section of Bybee's Road Baptist Church, Fluvanna County, VA.
