William Richardson "Bill" Porter

PORTER, William "Bill" Richardson, 78, of North Chesterfield, Va., passed away April 5, 2023. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Tyler Curtis; parents, Hollis and Daisy Porter; brother, Luther Porter; and sisters, Janet Mason and Elizabeth Porter. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Porter; daughters, Ranee Curtis (Derek) and Sarah Stacy (Joe); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many other loving relatives. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy for three years and retired from the Virginia National Guard after 23 years. He was a competitive rifle shooter and avid member of the Presidents 100. He had several occupations, the last being with Titan America for over 15 years. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 10, 2023 at Bliley's-Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Rd. where a funeral ceremony will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 11, 2023. Interment to follow in Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to ARK Area Rehabbers Klub, 2847 Corso Dr., Powhatan, Va. 23139.
