William Rittenhouse Obituary

William A. Rittenhouse, Jr., 60 of Rehoboth Beach, DE died suddenly on Wednesday, October 19, 2011. He was born Saturday, July 14, 1951 in Norristown, PA, son of the late William A. Rittenhouse, Sr. and Violet Holter Rittenhouse. Mr. Rittenhouse currently was employed at Invista in Seaford where he began his career in 1974 with the DuPont Company. He enjoyed sports including playing tennis and baseball. Spending time at the beach, traveling, cooking on his barbeque and watching his Phillies and Eagles filled his time with many hours of enjoyment. He is survived by his wife Linda Norton Rittenhouse; two brothers: Rodney J. Rittenhouse and wife Debra of Smyrna, DE and Gary E. Rittenhouse and wife Cheryl of Eagleville; a niece Heather Rittenhouse of Lansdale; and two nephews: Steven Rittenhouse of Phoenixville and Scott Rittenhouse of Eagleville. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 24, 2011 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 301 King Charles Avenue, Rehoboth Beach, DE with the Rev. Dr. Frank S. Deming, Jr. officiating. Friends may call at the church beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will be private in George Washington Memorial Park, Plymouth Meeting. Arrangements by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Lewes, DE. Memorial contributions may be sent to the SPCA, 22918 DuPont Boulevard, Georgetown, DE 19947.
