George Monroe Obituary
Our beloved father died Sunday at a local hospital after an extended illness.
He is survived by his sons, Michael (Nadine) of Napa and Bryan of Vallejo; daughter, Michelle (Edward) Berlin of Concord; granddaughters, Christina, Ashley, Jamie and Katie; and grandson, Kevin.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene.
George served in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of the Korean War. He retired from the Vallejo Unified School District as a supervisor of maintenance.
George loved painting houses, antique cars and model airplanes, and he loved his family and many friends.
A memorial celebration of his life will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Skyview Garden Chapel, Vallejo. Inurnment will be private.
Donations in his memory can be made to the American Lung Association.
