WYOMING — Gregory Allen Nelson, 58, of Wyoming, passed away Monday, May 2, 2022 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, surrounded by family.
Born in Hartselle, Alabama he was the son of Wilma Wilborn Richards, of Wyoming, and her husband, Lawrence Richards.
Gregory graduated from Dallas Senior High School and was a member of the University of Scranton's Class of 1987, where he earned a bachelors degree in computer science. He celebrated an extensive career of 25 years with the H&K Group.
Gregory enjoyed going on cruises with his wife, watching Manchester City soccer, being constantly disappointed in the Minnesota Vikings, and sharing an ice-cold beer with his faithful canine companion, Leviathan.
Greg was preceded in death by his grandparents, Toley and Irene Willborn, and Kathleen Richards.
Surviving are his wife of 32 years the former Joyce Bogumil; children, Jordan Nelson of Wilkes-Barre, Marlee Nelson of Bloomsburg, and Aidan Nelson of Layton, UT; mother, Wilma Richards and her husband Lawrence; brother, Michael Richards and his wife Donna; niece, Courtney Richards.
In accordance with Greg's wishes, all funeral Services will be held privately at the convenience of family.
Memorial donations may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society.

I am so very sorry for your loss. He was an expert in his profession, and I am privileged to have had the opportunity to learn so much from him over the past 8 years. We was a good person, and will be missed greatly. Prayers for your family, God bless him.
