Mark Mowry Obituary

Mark A. Mowry, 41, of Meshoppen, died Tuesday, March 6, 2006. He is survived by his wife Gaylene Johnson Mowry.
Born in Tunkhannock, on January 14, 1966, he was a son of Ronald and Lous LaFrance Mowry, of Meshoppen.
He was employed by Procter & Gamble in Mehoopany. He was a member of the Son of the Legion and was a baseball coach for the Auburn Little League and Teener Team and the Susquehanna County All-Star Coach. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoyed playing horseshoes, and was a soloist with the Bell Tones.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, whom was a good listener and was there for everyone when they needed it.
He is survived by his children Joel Mowry, of Tunkhannock; Kyle Mowry, of Laceyville; Brittany Mowry, of Laceyville; Chastity Dodge, of Tunkhannock; Carrie Dodge, of Chicago, IL; and Tylene Dodge of Springville. He is also survived by brother and sister-in-law Larry R. and Beth, of Meshoppen; Jay C. Mowry and Vicki, of Middleburg, Fla.; Rhonda Moore and George, of Meshoppen; Jane Murphy and Mike, of Meshoppen; Max and Karen Russick, of Rushville; Penny and Kevin Stockholm, of East Rush; Dixie and John Krieg, of Meshoppen; Darlene and Richard Salsman, of Meshoppen; granddaughter Taylor Dodge; mother-in-law Betty Russick; and several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Friday March 9, 2007, at 11 a.m. from the Meshoppen United Methodist Church, with the Reverend Guy Burt and Patricia Newhart officiating. Internment will be held in Jersey Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Meshoppen United Methodist Church on Thursday March 8 from 4 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to the First Liberty Bank, P.O. Box 40 Meshoppen, PA 18623. Arrangements made by the Sheldon Funeral Home Main St. Meshoppen, PA.
