WILKES-BARRE TWP. — Richard J. Williams, 67, of Wilkes-Barre Township, died April 9, 2024. A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday from Nat Gawlas Jordan Funeral Home, 89 Park Ave., Wilkes-Barre, with visitation from 5 p.m. to service time.

Days before your passing, on one of our conversations during my hour drive from work; you insisted me retiring was the best thing I could do. It´s almost like you knew I wouldn´t have you to talk to anymore on the phone. How fast those hours passed with your stories and laughter. You left behind two sisters who loved you dearly. You taught me how to build a fire, shoot, drive, play cards and appreciated the woods. Until we meet again big brother

A great guy growing up with, you couldn't ask for a better friend. I will always remember the good times with him, hunting, fishing, camping and palling around with friends. He was willing to help you with anything. You could always count on him. A guy with a big heart. He will never be forgotten.

Richie was more than a friend, he was family. Growing up, our son would refer to him as Uncle Richie. He was a kind hearted soul who would do anything for his friends. He will be greatly missed. Our hearts go out to his siblings.
