Terrance Hora Obituary

GOULDSBORO — Terrance (Terry) Michael Hora, 64, of Gouldsboro, passed away Friday, Nov. 18, 2022, at his home.

Born Sept. 21, 1958, in Denver, Colo., he was the son of Marguerite (McGowan) Hora, of Dallas, and the late Dr. James F. Hora.

Terry received his Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Wilkes University, and his Master of Business Administration, cum laude, also from Wilkes University. He worked at Tobyhanna Army Depot (TYAD) for much of his career, holding many positions, including the Director of multiple directorates during his tenure at TYAD. He was most recently employed at the United States Military Academy West Point, in the Directorate of Public Works. He was also the Co-Founder and Past President of the Pocono Mountains Armed Forces Communications Electronics Association (AFCEA), and a lifetime member of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA).

In his free time, Terry loved to spend time with his family, watching war movies, and military documentaries. He was also a big fan of the University of Notre Dame football team.

In addition to his father, Terrance was preceded in death by his brother Kevin.

Along with his mother, Marguerite, surviving are his loving wife, Michele; children: Ryan Marx and wife, Kristin, Dallas; Mandy Hora and her partner, Mike, Edenton, N.C.; grandchildren: Tristyn, Hailey, Amirah, Kaitlyn and Hunter; his brother, Dr. James Hora and wife, Nancy, Signal Mountain, Tenn.; and their children: Erin, Jacob and Anna.

Friends may call Saturday, Nov. 26, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Harold C. Snowdon Funeral Home, Inc., 140 N. Main St., Shavertown.

Mass will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.

To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

I am so sorry to hear of Terry´s passing. He was always such a wonderful friend. We have so many great memories of the Hora Family, Shrine Acres and all our dear friends from our days at `The Pit´. May Terry Rest in Peace. Kevin is making the music for him.
