Willie Mae Nelson LUBBOCK-Willie Mae Nelson, 83, of Lubbock died April 29, 2012, at Trust Point Hospital. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, May 4, 2012, at in Lyon Chapel Baptist Church. Burial will follow in City of Lubbock Cemetery. Willie M. Nelson was born Feb. 19, 1929, at Lake Providence, La., to Willie Garrett and Mary Hawthorne. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Nelson; father and mother; and two brothers. She is survived by four daughters, Betty Ford, Velma Johnson, Flora Butler and Elnora Young; 11 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins; and a very special family, Mr. and Mrs. James Wolfe and family. Visitation will be today, May 3rd, from 1 to 6 p.m. at Ossie Curry Funeral Home.
