Antoinette Gioeni

Gioeni, Antoinette ALBANY Antoinette Gioeni, 67, passed from this earthly realm on Sunday, December 11, 2016, after a period of illness. Anne was the daughter of Philomena Gioeni Colfels and the late Anthony Robert Gioeni. Anne graduated from Cardinal McCloskey High School and was later employed by Verizon for four decades. She will always be remembered as a kind and loving person who always had a kind word for others. In spite of numerous medical challenges and set-backs, Anne always maintained her sense of humor. Her generosity and kindness will be forever remembered. In addition to her mother, our beloved Anne is survived by her sisters, Lucille Gioeni Hughes and her brother-in-law, Alan of Unionville; Sharon Gioeni of Albany; and brother, Gennaro Gioeni of Schenectady; her long time dear friend, Maurice Garvey; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. The family wishes to thank the staff at the I.C.U. of St. Peter's Hospital for their care and compassion. Relatives and friends are invited and may visit with her family on Thursday, December 15, from 4-7 p.m. in the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, Inc., 490 Delaware Ave., Albany. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 16, at 8:45 a.m. from the funeral home, thence to The Parish of Mater Christi where her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow the Mass in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
