David J. Quick

Quick, David J. ALBANY David James Quick, 43, passed away unexpectedly on December 18, 2017, while visiting family in the Albany area. David was born in Schenectady and relocated to Massachusetts at the age of five. He graduated from Andover High School in 1992. Afterwards, David worked in various restaurants where he created a love of food and became an accomplished chef. For 15 years David was employed at Whole Foods Market in the Boston area where he thoroughly enjoyed his coworkers and customers. Most recently, David moved to New Rochelle, N.Y. to be closer to family. David was a "Jack of all trades" with expertise in golf, history, pop culture, and anything Star Wars. He was a true Bostonian through and through, never missing a Patriots or Red Sox game. David's friends, family and colleagues respected him for always treating people with honesty and fairness. Everyone who met David knew he would offer the best of himself without hesitation. He was truly one in a million. David is survived by his mother, Cynthia Naitza of Scotia; his sister, Theresa (Dimitris) Giannaris of New Rochelle; and brother, Christopher (Rebecca) Naitza of Georgetown, Mass. David is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins, who loved him dearly. Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. A memorial service will be held in Massachusetts in January, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Andover Firefighters Relief Association, P.O.
