Dorothy Ross Obituary

Ross, Dorothy A.
LOUDONVILLE - Dorothy A. Ross passed away peacefully on July 2, 2024, having lived to her goal of 100 years. Dorothy was born in Buffalo, N.Y. on April 30, 1924, the daughter of the late Francis X. and Victoria C. Lauta. She was predeceased by her husband, Henry C. Ross, GG. Dorothy was a loving and cherished mother to her children, Jade (deceased), Donna and Henry C. III (deceased); a warm and caring grandmother to Christopher, Tiffany and John; and great-grandmother to Kyra, Amelia and River.
Dorothy and Henry spent decades as jewelers in Downtown Buffalo. Dorothy, a gem herself, had a mischievous sense of humor, a decorator's eye, loved antiques, was a superb seamstress and enjoyed cooking. She was involved in Scouting for many years. Dorothy relocated to be near her daughter.
Her long life can be attributed to her engaging nature and kindness and the fact that she loved life. She was well cared for in the Loudonville Assisted Living Residence, especially by the aides in the memory Care unit. She was a genuinely nice person and a great mom.
Funeral services will be private.
