Gibbons, Geraldine Helen STUYVESANT Geraldine Helen Gibbons, 70, of Route 26A, Stuyvesant, N.Y., died Thursday, January 24, 2008, at her home. Born in Valatie, N.Y., July 6, 1937, she was the daughter of the late John C. and Kathleen (Orsted) Mesick. Mrs. Gibbons graduated from Martin H. Glynn High School and worked in the cafeteria at Ichabod Crane for 31 years. She loved animals, gardening and caneing, which she did with her husband for many years. She also loved all her grandchildren and enjoyed taking care of them. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Howard Gibbons Sr.; two daughters, Kathleen Eschberger and Deborah Qua, both of Stuyvesant; a son, Howard Gibbons Jr. of Stuyvesant; five grandchildren, Frank W. Eschberger, John and Emily Qua, Rebecca and Hope Gibbons; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, John P., Bradley and Grayford Mesick. Funeral services will be held today at 11 a.m. from the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, Inc., Route 9, Valatie with Rev. Frank O'Connor officiating.
