John A. McCauley

McCauley, John A. COLONIE John A. McCauley, 52, of Colonie, passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at St. Peter's Hospital after a sudden illness. He was born in Troy, and was the son of the late Charles and Angela Rubino McCauley. John served in the U.S. Army from 1985 through 1987. He worked as an inside sale representative for Jim Waters Corp. (now Richards Building Supply) in Colonie, for the past 15 years. John was an avid sports memorabilia and card collector displaying at numerous shows throughout the region. John was passionate about his loving family, sports, music and the New York Yankees. He was a communicant and usher at St. Clare's Church in Colonie. John is survived by his devoted fiance, Dawn Morrison; his loving stepchildren, Sylvia Morrison and Justin Morrison. He is the cherished brother of Kevin (Bobbi) McCauley, Kim McGee, Charles (Melissa) McCauley and Stephen (Mimi) McCauley. He is also survived by several adoring nieces and nephews. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 11 a.m. in St. Clare's Church, 1947 Central Ave., Colonie. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Hans Funeral Home, 1088 Western Ave., Albany, and Thursday, from 9 to 11 a.m. in St. Clare's Church, Colonie. Interment will be in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
