Foster, Karen E. (Wheeler) GLOVERSVILLE Karen E. (Wheeler) Foster, 59, of Gloversville passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 22, 2017, at her home after a brief illness. Born May 12, 1957, in East Greenbush, she was the daughter of the late Ballard and Grace Riddle Wheeler. Karen was a graduate of Fulton-Montgomery Community College and was employed at Amsterdam Printing for over 17 years. She was an avid animal lover and especially loved her dogs. Karen also enjoyed reading and spending time with her family and friends. Karen leaves behind her beloved husband of 27 years, Stephen M. Foster; daughter, Nicole A. Williams (Ryan); sons, Michael J. Foster (Angel) and Mark S. Foster (Beth); brother, Keith D. Wheeler; sisters, Brenda M. Iacocca (Ronald), Sharon L. Wheeler (Jennifer) and Jennifer O'Brien (Dave); grandchildren, Brody, Brynn, Byron, Alex, Malisha, Ashlynn, Andrew, Hunter and Elsie; greatgrandson, Mikah; nephews, Adam Decker, Jeremy Iacocca, David O'Brien and niece Meredith Iacocca. Karen is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins. She is predeceased by her son, Eric J. Foster. Calling hours to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will take place on Thursday, April 27, from 4-7 p.m. at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville. A service to celebrate Karen's life will be held on Friday, April 28, 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Reverend Dr. RW Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Karen's memory to the Regional Animal Shelter, 117 W.
