Marjorie Carpenter Obituary
GREENVILLE - Marjorie Carpenter, 100, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2023, at her home in Greenville.
She was born in Coeymans Hollow on March 13, 1923, to Sydney Peck and Clara (Elmendorf) Peck. She graduated from Ravena High School and then attended Albany Business College. She was the first female N.Y.S. Supreme Court reporter and after many years of employment, retired in 1983.
She is survived by her children, Thomas W. Carpenter (Elaine), Lisa M. Trafton (Duane), and Susan P. Carpenter. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Jacob Carpenter, Kayla Carpenter (Justin Snow), Jared Trafton (Vanessa), Emily Viczian (Lorant), Sarah Trafton, Jack Hummingbird, and Sydney Hummingbird; as well as her great-grandchildren, Ella and Ava Trafton and Oliver, Elijah and Arianna Viczian.
Private interment will be held in the Chestnut Lawn Cemetery in New Baltimore.
