Mary "Marie" Bevans

Bevans, Mary "Marie" EAST GREENBUSH Mary "Marie" (Philpott) Bevans, 96, passed away on Friday, March 29, 2013 at Evergreen Commons in East Greenbush, where she was a resident for 18 months. Born March 11, 1917 in Closter, N.J., she was the one of the twin daughters of the late William and Rose Quinn Philpott. She was the widow of James C. Bevans, who died October 13, 1991. She married her husband on June 12, 1938 in Closter. She is survived by a daughter, Dorothy (Norbert) Hall of Leesburg, Fla.; grandchildren, Marianne (Richard) Chester, Susan (Richard) Viel, Teresa (Michael) Kane, Amy (Paul) Laukaitis, Norbert Hall Jr., Kira (William) Hatem, Joseph (Kelly) Lynch and Andrew (Solange) Lynch; great-grandchildren, Linda, David and Matthew Viel, Joseph, Brian and Nathan Kane, Alyson and Paul Laukaitis, Jessie and Jamie Hall, Ryan Chester, Torey (Chester) Riley, Christine (Chester) Saurez, Meghan, Taylor and Jordan Hatem, Julia Lynch and Michelle, Andres and Nicholas Lynch; and sisters-in-law, Teresa (John) Arnold and Dunda Bevans. She is predeceased by her daughter, Rosemary Bevans- Lynch; sisters, Edith Soeder and Elisabeth Ambrose (her twin); and brothers, William Jr. and Thomas Philpott. Marie has generously donated her body to the Albany Medical College for the purpose of medical education and research. There will be a memorial Mass in Marie's honor on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Delmar. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Autism Speaks, Special Olympics or a charity of your choice in her honor would be appreciated.
