Mary Hatfield Obituary
BURNT HILLS - Mary Frances Hatfield, age 91, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 20, 2023, in the comfort of her home.
Mary Frances was born on April 5, 1931, in Utica, and was the daughter of the late Sanford S. and Mina (Carpenter) Hatfield. After high school, Mary Frances completed the nursing program at Skidmore College. She became a registered nurse and worked in New York City and Hawaii. She raised three sons in Skaneateles, N.Y., and Lake Placid, and later became a risk assessor for Hospital Underwriters Mutual in Albany.
Mary Frances was an avid reader, an artist in watercolor and other media, and a lover of nature. She traveled widely and visited countries including Cuba, Italy, Nepal, Russia, Scotland, and Zimbabwe.
Mary is survived by her brother, Arthur Hatfield; and her sons, Geoffrey Wisner and Keith Wisner. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her son, John Wisner; and her former husband, William Wisner.
Services for Mary will be held privately for the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Doctors Without Borders U.S.A.

I was fortunate to have worked with Mary Francis for many years at Healthcare Underwriters Mutual (HUM). She was a very kind and gentle person and well respected by all her co-workers. Also lots of fun to be around. May she rest in peace.
