I still remember coming home on leave from the navy and seeing you for the first time. You were still in diapers, I was holding you outside on the porch, watching the squirrels jumping around. On that visit I was so honored to be asked to be your Godfather! Another trip home on leave, I took you to buy your first acoustic guitar, so you could learn to play like your father. I remember you carrying your Hulk Hogan doll around the apartment in Cohoes that your father and I shared when we were roommates. I remember taking you, your brother, Dan and your mom for ice cream with the top down. I remember you proudly escorting Dan into the cage, with your head high and a face that said, you don't want to mess with the Ladd brothers. I was so proud of the family man you became, always working hard to provide and show love to Shannon, Logan, Kylie, and Mattie. I will miss how excited you were to hit the Links whenever I came home for a visit. I miss you already, and I'm sure you not being there will really hit me the next time I go home for a visit. I love you Matt. Rest in Peace and I'll see you on the other side.

Our hearts are breaking for the tragic loss of my godson, Matthew Ladd. Matthew, I was so blessed to have you in my life. I am always thankful to Yuri for teaching you how to play the guitar at WOW Youth Camp and always proud of you that you pursued it.
I always see Pa' in Danny and you and know that Pa' is proud of you from heaven. I will always love you and am heartbroken beyond words.

When certain people leave the Earth, there's a giant, jagged hole ripped out of The Matrix. Free-spirits never not fit in this tiny-minded world. Some are better suited for infinity in heaven than the brokenness of this world.
Many will miss you, but only some know where they are going. I know that I will see you again.

I don’t even know where to begin, I’ve known Matt, Danny and Paige ever since I was a little girl. I lived at their house over the summers to help their mom run her fruit and veggie stand, and take care of all the bunnies. And babysit Danny (AKA Chucky) as my ma always called him. My heart goes out to his brother and his mama. I haven’t had the pleasure to meet his life long companion but my heart and prayers go out to you and all his children. Our loss is truly heaven gain. He was always my little buddy and I will remember him always. Love and miss u Matt wish I could have been around to see what a fine young man you turned out to be.
