Susan E. Freeman

Freeman, Susan E. COLONIE Susan E. Freeman, age 73, died on May 25, 2022, after a long battle with cancer. She was in Hospice at Shaker Place in Colonie. Born on April 7, 1949, in Churchville, N.Y., Susan was the daughter of John and Bess Freeman. Following high school, Susan began her nursing education at D'Youville College in Buffalo. Following several years as a nurse, she pursued a master's degree in social work, after which she was a social worker for Albany County Department of Social Services. Susan is survived by three sisters, Teresa (John) McFee of Arizona, Janis Siegel of Maryland, and Lisa Freeman (Thomas) Skeen of Holley, N.Y. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, John. Susan is also survived by nieces and nephews. Susan loved her many rescue cats, her Yankees, and being a friend of Bill. Many thanks to the kind staff in the Ann Lee unit at Shaker Place and to Community Hospice staff, for their kindness, compassion and excellent care.
