I remember Officer Doty when he was on the Cohoes Police force & I was in my early 20´s and worked at the convenience store on Garner st. I worked the night/overnight shifts with another female employee and when he was on he would always stop in to make sure us gals were okay. He was always so kind and shared some laughs while on duty. My condolences to his family and friends. May you all find comfort in those around you , as well as all that knew and respected him.

Dawn and family, my deepest and most sincere thoughts of sympathy to all those who loved your husband, Bill. I know that over time your wonderful memories will bring you comfort and peace to all of you. We can reflect and give thanks for the kind of husband, parent & grandparent that Bill was. You lost a good man but God gained another angel to add to his heavenly fold. One of God's brightest lights was extinguished far too soon. Blessings to all and may Bill R.I.P.
God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be, so he put His arms around you and whispered, "Come to Me."
With tearful eyes we watched you as you slowly slipped away, And though we loved you dearly we couldn't make you stay.
Your golden heart stopped beating, your tired hands put to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best. Amen.

To the family of Bill Doty, Though sympathy alone can't alter facts, it can help to make them more bearable. We understand death only after it has placed its hands on someone we love. Some say Tears are the silent language of grief. I'm sure "Bill" would want all of his family to think of all the wonderful times that were spent together, knowing he is in a better place now. He will continue to watch over all of you and you will feel his presence through the coming years.
Bill, if we could bring you back again, For one more hour or day, We'd express all our unspoken love; We'd have countless things to say.
If we could bring you back again, We'd say we treasured you, And that your presence in our lives Meant more than we ever knew.
If we could bring you back again, To tell you what we should, You'd know how much we miss you now, And if we could, we would.

23rd. Psalm
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

O God, whose mercies cannot be numbered, Accept our prayers on behalf of thy servant William Doty and grant him an entrance into the land of light and joy, in the fellowship of thy saints; through Jesus Christ thy Son our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. SAFELY HOME
I am home in Heaven, dear ones;
Oh so happy and so bright!
There is perfect joy and beauty
In this everlasting light.
All the pain and grief is over,
Every restless tossing passed;
I am now at peace forever,
Safely home in Heaven at last.
Did you wonder I so calmly
Trod the valley of the shade?
Oh, but Jesus' love illumined
Every dark and fearful glade.
And He came Himself to meet me
In that way so hard to tread;
And with Jesus' arm to lean on,
Could I have one doubt or dread?
Then you must not grieve so sorely,
For I love you dearly still,
Try to look beyond earth's shadows,
Pray to trust our Father's will.
There is work still waiting for you,
So you must not idly stand;
Do it now, while life remains,
You shall rest in Jesus' land.
When that work is all completed,
He will gently call you Home;
Oh, the rapture of that meeting,
Oh, the joy to see you come !

Our deepest sympathy go out to daughter, Karen Campbell (Robert Jones) at this difficult time. Nothing you love is lost. Not really. Things, people they always go away sooner or later. You can't hold them anymore than you can hold moonlight. But if they've touched you, if they're inside you, then they're still yours. The only things you ever really have are the ones you hold inside your heart.
May Bill R.I.P.

To Karen Campbell(Robert Jones) know that we are thinking of you at this time in the loss of your father. Our prayers are with you both. May Bill Doty R.I.P.
Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glint on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you wake in the morning hush, I am the swift, uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circling flight. I am the soft starlight at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry. I am not there, I did not die.
