ROSSVILLE, Ga. - William Frederick Gray, III, 85, of Rossville, Ga., passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2023, at his home. He was a native of Albany and lived most of his life in Voorheesville.
While living in Voorheesville, Mr. Gray served as the village Trustee and Deputy Mayor, and he was a volunteer Fireman and E.M.S. Mr. Gray was a Mason and a Shriner. He worked as an operating engineer with the Local Union 106 for 65 years.
Mr. Gray loved his family dearly and he cherished his time traveling with his wife throughout the years. He also loved woodworking and spending time with his family at the lake house. Mr. Gray always had a smile on his face, and you would never hear him complain. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Judith Ann Gray. Survivors include his children, Kimberly (Mark) Godin, Sherrie Gray, and William F. Gray, IV (Susan); brother, Kenneth (Barbara) Gray; nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
