Barbara Wilks Obituary
Barbara "Carol" Wilks passed peacefully in her sleep early morning December 3, 2019. Carol was a single Mom with a big heart. She was a retired Lt Commander in the US Navy. She was a fun-loving extrovert who didn't mind voicing her thoughts. She was a former President of the Jacksonville Chapter of PFLAG (Parents, Friends, and Family of Lesbians and Gays). She will be greatly missed by two Daughters, Kim DeMarre-Gipson and Misty Burbridge. In lieu of flowers please donate to the National Humane Society.

Such sad news. I just came across this obituary.
Carol and I were room mates "back-in-the-day, and shared many fun times.
My thought and prayers are with Misty and Kim.

I just heard about Carol tonight & so sorry as she was such a fun loving person. We had many years of going to ballgames, military events & enjoying her daughters.

I am so sorry to hear of Carol's passing. I haven't seen her for many years but thought of her often. I always admired her as a person and a friend. She and my deceased husband Lloyd were cousins and I always enjoyed hearing them tell of the fun and crazy times they had together.
Carol will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
