Dear Johnson Family,

Though I hadn't seen him in many years, Emmett's love for life and his genuine smile (nearly always plastered accross his face) sprung to the front of my mind when I heard of his passing. I'm sure that smile will shine on you all. What a treasure you had in Emmett!

Dear Anna Belle, Gay and Galen,

I feel like I knew Emmett from sitting in his office with you, Anna Belle and Gay, this past summer. And, I feel like I knew him because I know you Gay. Anna Belle, what a man you shared your life with ... and what a woman you are to have enabled him and supported him in all his endeavors. I told Gay the other day...I'm really beginning to understand the verse..."Death is swallowed up in victory." How great it is to know that Emmett is in the arms of the Lord and watching over you. I will continue to hold you in my prayers and my heart. Love now and always,
Pam Landy, Dallas, Texas

Anna Belle, Galen, Gay and family. Emmett and the entire Johnson family touched and helped improve so many lives that I am sure he is sporting a crown of many jewels. In my professional career no other single person was more important than Emmett. He was like a second father. His personal and professional life served as an example to which everyone could aspire and his influence will live through many generations among hundreds of families. I thank the Lord for Emmett and Anna Belle and hope that you feel my prayers and support in this difficult time. Byron Harrell, Baptist Community Ministries, New Orleans

Dear Gay and family
I remember his laughter and sweet spirit when I got to meet him. I loved his whistle and wished I could do that. I am blessed to hear the wonderful stories and see the old pictures Gay has shared. I am sure you will be blessed and comforted by the memories you all shared and the love you felt. I'm praying for you all.
Blessings,

Dear Anna Belle, Galen, Gay, Barbara;

Nena and I were deeply saddened to learn of Mr. Johnson's passing. Our comfort is knowing that he is now knowing the joys of heaven with the Lord. Mr. Johnson was the primary influence that shaped my life professionally and personally. In him I saw a man who truly lived his faith everyday of his life whether in his work as a manager or in his personal life. He was a living witness for the Lord. I draw on what I learned from him in both regards everyday in my life and in my teaching. As long as I am alive and as long as I am teaching, Mr. Johnson's witness will live through me as I share so much that I learned from him with my students. It was one of the greatest blessings of my life to have known him. I thank the Lord that I had this blessing. God bless you!

With all our love,

Tom, Nena, Kim, and Kennan Sanders
