Flora Hyman Obituary

HYMAN Flora B. Hyman, passed away at her home, Friday, February 13th, surrounded by family and friends. Flora was born in Florence, S. C., January 28, 1934, to Liston and Lula Viola Hyman. Although born in South Carolina, she lived all of her life in Jacksonville, Florida. She was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School and attended Wesleyan College. Flo began her career in Jacksonville at Western Electric. She continued her career as Sales and Marketing Manager for the Robert Meyer Hotel. She was President and co-owner of Southeastern Decorators, Inc., for more than 35 years until she retired. Flo was active in the Republican Party and many civic organizations. She was predeceased by 6 sisters and 1 brother, as well as her parents. She is survived by a niece, Patricia Pond and three nephews, Everett Melvin, Michael (Mary) Horne and Colin Horne, as well as several great nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be at the Riverside Baptist Church, Park and King Street, on February 28th at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to Riverside Baptist Church or the charity of your choice. Please Sign the Guestbook @ Jacksonville.com
