Joan Simpson Obituary

SIMPSON Joan Wingo Simpson, 52, passed away on Thursday, August 26, 2010 at her home. She was born May 10, 1958 in Jacksonville, FL to Clyde and Pauline Sapp Wingo. She attended and graduated from local schools in the Mandarin area. She enjoyed working on the computer and was an excellent Graphics Designer. Survivors include her devoted husband, Jerry; mother, Pauline; daughters, Wendy and Andrea; a son, Andrew; sisters, Sharon, Ann, Gail, Hope and Jeanne; a granddaughter, Danielle; and numerous other loving relatives and friends whom will greatly miss her. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 30, 2010 at the Friendship Community Church, 1410 Tutter St. with Pastor Virgil 'Butch' Jerrell, officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in her name to the American Lung Association, 6852 Belfort Oaks Place, Jacksonville, FL 32216. My heart is so saddened at your loss. Joan and I were best friends at Loretto Elementary and Dupont Jr. High. I have so many memories of the fun we had together when Mandarin was a small community. Though we lost touch, she remains dear to me. My prayers for your family.
