Dear Jean,

My family will always be grateful for your wonderful husband. I will always remember him for wonderful days at IBM, the best of my 30 years at the Corporation.

Everyone who knew and worked for Dick had the deepest respect and admiration for him as a leader, manager and mentor.

I am very sad to hear this news today from my friend, Kathy Story. My thoughts are with you and your wonderful family.

Dear Mrs. Montney, Ricky, Lynn, and Liz,

Our hearts go out to you today over the loss of a great dad and husband. He's one of the few golfers at San Jose who could beat my Father. Mr. Montney always showed the kids in the snack bar how to make a "real" milk shake and was one of several "second Dads" for the swim team members.

Mrs. Montney...I enjoyed our phone conversation a few years ago, on the occassion of your 50th Anniversary. Hope to see you soon.

Rest Easy, Dick...nothing but blue skies and green fairways ahead!

Wth much sympathy,

Frank Swanson and Family
