Arthur "Art" E. Sell, Jr.

Arthur E. Sell, Jr. "Art", age 90, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2021. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on January 19, 1931 to Arthur and Hazel (De Mott) Sell, Sr. He graduated from DeVilbiss High School and University of Toledo College of Pharmacy. He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. Art married the love of his life, Nora Sheehan, on May 17, 1958, shortly after moving to their new home in Sylvania, where they resided for 58 years.

Art was the director of Pharmacy at St. Vincent's Medical Center for over 30 years, working from an intern up to the Chief of Staff. Alongside of him was his dear friend and secretary Annie Clevenger Smith, who worked hard together, and laughed a lot. Art enjoyed Boy Scouts with his son, as a Scout Master and Unit Commissioner. He loved camping, carpentry, tennis and spending time with his children. One of his special hobbies was that he built and sold model foam wing airplane kits. A favorite memory shared among his family and friends, was that Art was always smiling, and ordering and eating his pie before his meal.

He is survived by his son, Christopher Sell; his daughters, Eileen (Rick) Kelley, and Jennifer Sell; grandchildren, Levi, Nicholas and Hannah. Art was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Nora A. Sell.

Friends may visit at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd. on Tuesday, August 3 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., with the funeral ceremony to follow. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, with Military Honors. Memorial donations may be given to Ohio Living Swan Creek Foundation. The family wishes to thank the OLSC and Home Health Hospice nursing staff for their kindness and care, with a special thanks to Nancy Richards, who always made sure he wore a fun hat.
