Dona M. Netterfield, passed away on February 17th, 2024, at the age of 96, surrounded by her loving family. Dona was born on May 8, 1927, in Toledo, Ohio, to Clifford D. and Furnace I. Whitmore, and spent her childhood in Point Place, with her younger brother, Jim. She graduated from Waite High School, and attended Toledo University, where she was a proud member of the Chi Omega sorority. Throughout her life she enjoyed spending time with family and friends at the lakes of the Irish Hills, region in Michigan. She met her husband, Allen Netterfield, at a dance on Wamplers Lake, which was where Dona eventually built a cottage that served as the background of countless memories with her beloved children and grandchildren. Dona was a lifelong resident of Toledo, Ohio, and was an active member of the community. In addition to raising four children, she co-founded Netterfield's Fish and Chips, with her husband, guiding inspiration to her children whom founded Netty's Hot Dogs & Ice Cream, worked for almost 40 years as a real estate agent, and was an involved member of Epworth United Methodist church.

Dona was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Furnace; brother, and sister-in-law, James "Jim" and Jean Whitmore; and stepfather, Clifford Berning. She is survived by her children, Theodore (Ana) Netterfield, Joan Netterfield, Terry Netterfield, and Jan (John) Perdeau; grandchildren, Abby, Alec, Tatiana, Alina, and Stefan; and great-grandchildren, Amadeus, and Rudy.

Services will be held Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at 12:00 p.m., at Toledo Memorial Park, 6382 Monroe St, Sylvania, Ohio, at Section 14, Lot 609.
