Gerald Banks Obituary
Gerald William Banks, Sr. Esq., age 79 of Toledo passed away on April 23, 2018.
He was born to Leonard and Elizabeth (Huva) Banks on August 9, 1938. He was graduate Woodward High School and the University of Toledo where he received his Law Degree. Jerry married the love of his life Marie Bohls on June 6, 1964 and together they raised four children. He began his career as an Assistant District Attorney for Lucas County and then spent the rest of his career in private practice. He had a passion for his family, the Cleveland Indians and the Cleveland Browns.
Jerry was preceded in death by his loving wife of 36 years, Marie and his parents. He is survived by his children, Jerry Jr., Jeff, Julie (Jim) Malburg and Jessica (Jeff) Weygandt; grandchildren, Alex (Lisa), Ashley (Justin), Peyton, Bryce, Augie, Anderson, Wesley and Angela; great-granddaughter, Miranda; sister, Eileen (Chuck) Lenz; loving companion, Linda Carr, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd., on Friday, April 27th from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 28th beginning at 9:30 a.m., in the mortuary, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Church at 10 a.m. Interment Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at the UTMC Dana Cancer Center for their compassionate care.
