Johanna "Lynne" Turner, 52, born January 3, 1961, in Toledo, OH to Isiah Turner and Josephine Pope passed away February 12, 2013,

She is Survived by her father, Isiah Turner; mother, Josephine Pope; sisters, Juanita (Turner) Osby, and Debra Turner; children, Jojuana Turner, Tianna Allen (John) Young, and Macketta Allen; daughters father, Macker Allen. She has 4 grandchildren.

Wake is Thursday, February, 21, 2013, at 10 a.m., funeral to follow at 11 a.m. at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church, 831 Detroit Ave. Toledo, OH. Rev. Cedric Brock, officiating.

Hey sis, its been 8 years since you gained your wings. Its still hard i dont think it will ever get easier..Your thought of every day things you might have said things you might have done the way you would look or smiled about something. So much has changed you wouldn't believe how much. Your kids and grandkids are fine , by the way your a great grandmother to a set of twin boys by Donta. Mom just adore them they are so busy..Well mom and dad has been under the weather for about 2 years .We all been staying together off and on and boyyyy i tell you its a trip and your parents are funny. Well i have 5granddaughters going on six do you believe that ..By my boys ikeya not ready yet..Any who im getting ready to have knee surgery again on the same knee , eventually i have to have surgery on my other knee they both ragady...lol Sis I love and miss you so much...Until we meet again. Hi Sis, I know I haven't written in awhile and (by no means), have I forgotten you, but so, so much has gone on, 2020 ain't no joke! We're seeing things like ...a pandemic, racial tension, police issues, etc. (this year will not be forgotten) that's for sure. So much so, I'll just try to focus on the positive:-) Anywho, Mom, Deb and Dad still trips with each other, still acting like they're sisters and brother, getting mad at each other 1 minute and then clowning each other the next. I'm trying to get there more often (and I have) to check on them and to aid them when I can. I'm doing alright, working a side gig just to stay active/busy...T-town has changed ALOT and it's gotten rough...the people, the environment, the family, the block, etc. It's rough seeing how much things have worn down and deteriorated, it hurts my heart...anywho, I've got a few places I know you'd enjoy, I just wish we could've gone there. I still reach for the phone to call you when something comes up that I want to share with you cause I know you'd understand and/or appreciate it. So I talk to you outloud and remember your smile. Hey sis, it's been 6 years (yesterday) that you went to heaven. Wow, just looking at your picture, this picture of you smiling and chilling, to this date still is hard and still brings tears to my eyes. I wish we had more time to bowl, to grill, to vacay, to whatever, and to live our best life. I try to tell folks, life is short, you gotta live it, do things, go places, spend time with family and friends, don't hold regrets, grudges and be thankful and blessed that the sun is shining. Hey Lynne, it's been 5 years since you passed & everytime I see this picture or think that I can't pick up the phone to call, I get misty eyed...The other day, Whitney's song "Count On Me" came on and it reminded me of you. It wasn't a song I remembered you singing, but it's the type/style of song that you would. I smiled as I'd imagine you hitting those notes:-)...Anywho, tomorrow's your birthday so I know emotions will run high for all. Just know, you aren't forgotten, we love you. Happy birthday....

Hey Sis, time is flying by. I forget sometimes that you reside in a heavenly place now because I instinctly reach out to call you on the phone. Your girls are still hanging in there so that's cool. Even though Mom and Deb are driving each other nuts about the move. It's funny, I tell them both to take it easy as it doesn't all have to be at once.lol....Well, I won a local No Tap bowling tourney today and I posted in on FB. Hey Sis, just sitting here thinking about things, you, the family and life in general. Even though I'm retired and don't have a job, time still passes so quickly, it's almost 2 years since you passed. You're so missed. I finally had the courage to go in Wmart and shop, only after I told C, that life must go on. By avoiding Wmart, I was not dealing with reality/life and I was telling my son to do something that I had not done. Plus you loved that place so much, I think you'd be mad if I didn't shop there:-). Hey sis, today's 1/3/14 and it's your day, you'd be 53 and you'd jokingly tease me that you're 2 years older than me, but only for 24 more days. It's funny that time can pass so quickly at times for some things and so slow for others. This time 1 year ago, I wished you happy birthday but it seems like yesterday. Your time with us was so short and I miss you and your carefree attitude about life, people and things. I wish I could have adopted that trait from you.
