Lou Bourquin Obituary

BOURQUIN
Lou Ann Marie
Lou Ann Marie Bourquin, 62, passed away June 29, 2016, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio with her family at her side. She was born March 3, 1954, to Laurence and Alice (Mull) Bourquin, who preceded her in death.
Lou Ann attended Sylvania High School and graduated in 1972. She worked at her parents' ceramic shop “Secor Ceramics.” Upon graduation she moved to Millbrook, NY to run Millbrook Ceramics. Lou Ann returned to Toledo and worked at her father and uncles' accounting firm. She took accounting classes at Stautzenberger College and worked side by side with her father at L. E. Bourquin and Associates. Upon her father's death, she continued the accounting office and her sister joined her at Bourquin and Associates. Lou Ann was a person with such a big heart. Never did she want to talk about herself, she only wanted to hear about other people. She loved to travel, taking cruises, going to concerts, and spending time with family and friends. When Lou Ann's health failed, she still felt blessed to have such a wonderful life. She helped so many people, and they would say that she changed their life for the better. Lou Ann, never had children, but her sister's three boys were her children, and she loved them so much. There was nothing she wouldn't do for them, and there was nothing they wouldn't do for her.
Lou Ann is survived by sister, Judy (Manuel) Jimenez; nephews, Phil, Nik and Ted; brother, Tom (Shirley) Bourquin; nieces, Lisa and Kristy; aunts, Anne Griffith and Marilyn (John) Kading; uncles, Richard and Robert Bourquin; dear friend, Robert Jimenez and many cousins.
Visitation will be held at Reeb Funeral Home, Sylvania, OH on Tuesday, July 5 from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be conducted at Grace Lutheran Church, 4441 Monroe St., Toledo, OH on Wednesday, July 6 at 11 a.m.
The family suggests any memorial tributes to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or the American Diabetes Association.
The family would like to thank Pastor Al Swartz for his friendship and comfort and all the “Angels” at Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
“You will be greatly missed and never ever forgotten.”
