Robert “Bob”
Robert “Bob” Gottlieb passed away Monday January 23, 2017. He was married to Estey (Hayman) Gottlieb For 59 years and they had 3 children, Audrey (Gottlieb) Kunin, Susan Gottlieb and the late Mark Gottlieb. Bob Loved spending time with his 6 Grandchildren whenever possible, animals of all kinds, and playing tennis and racquetball.
Bob was born in Windsor Canada, grew up in Detroit Michigan and moved to Toledo, Ohio in 1959 to work with his brother, Al, at Gottlieb's Buy-Rite Furniture. 12 years later Bob went on the road as a Wholesale Furniture Representative. He traveled Ohio, Indiana, Michigan and additional states. The accounts he established meant more to him than business, as he developed many close friendships over 40+ years.
Bob and his family have been members of Temple Shomer Emunim, The Toledo Museum of Art, The Toledo Zoo and Bob Volunteered for The Old Newsboys for many, many years.
Family and Friends may gather at his home Thursday and Friday, January 26 and 27. Contributions to Temple Shomer Emunim, The Toledo Museum Of Art or Shriners Hospital are welcome. As published in The Blade
