Susan Ann

Susan Ann Au, age 59, of Sylvania, Ohio passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2015, at Ebeid Hospice surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 12, 1956, in Toledo to Donald and Margaret (Scott) Metheny. Suzie was a 1974 graduate of Start High School. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant who worked at various locations in Toledo and Honolulu. Suzie enjoyed creating artwork, gardening, landscaping, interior design, bird watching, and worshipped the sun, usually from her Jacuzzi. She asked for so little, and gave so much. Her greatest love in life was spending time with her family. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother who will be forever missed, but never forgotten.

Left to cherish her memory, are her parents; husband of 31 years, Guy Au; sons, Joseph and Matthew (Kelsey) Au, and granddaughter, Bridgette Au; sisters, Debra (Jim Adray) Smith, Robin (Rick) Heffelfinger. Also surviving are her nephews, Brian (Cindy) Smith and John Mitchell, and brother in-law, Greg Smith.

Family and friends may visit at the Sujkowski Funeral Home of Rossford, 830 Lime City Road on Monday, April 27, 2015, from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Dan Culbertson officiating. Interment will follow at Lake Township Cemetery in Millbury.

The family suggests contributions in Suzie's memory be made to team "Ausome" for the "Take Steps" for Crohn's and Colitis at www.ccfa.org. On website, please click the "Take Steps" button on the bottom left of the page, then "Donate" on the top right. Search for "Ausome" before making your donation. Guy, I was deeply saddened to learn of the news of Suzie's passing. Suzie was an incredibly outgoing and warm person who I knew very well while I was at Univ. Toledo in 77-79. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her and you are in my thoughts and prayers during this time of grief. Jeff Skinner, Cypress, TX.
