Susan Stobinski Obituary
Susan Marie Stobinski, 66, of Ottawa Hills, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 4, 2023, at Ebeid Hospice. She was born in Toledo to James and Mary (Bruce, Vandenberg) Ziegler on November 18, 1956. Sue was a graduate of Sylvania High School and married her beloved husband, Ron Stobinski, in the fall of 1976. Sue worked various jobs throughout her life including nail tech, theatre bartender, and most important of all: loving mother. She adored her children and happily drove them to all their activities. Sue spent countless hours, for well over a decade, coaching her children and supporting them through their theatrical years. Sue had a love of being near water and loved the beach. She enjoyed dancing, family game nights, drawing and painting. Her passion later in life was roller skating, and she could often be found at the local rink skating with her friends and grandson.
Sue is survived by her husband, Ron Stobinski; children, Alesha Marie Stobinski, Emily (Chad) Colestock, Josh (Tori) Stobinski; grandchildren, Avery Johnson, Norah Colestock, and two on the way; siblings, Robert Ziegler, Judy (David) Stange, Linda (David) McClean, Richard (Lydia) Wurz; stepfather, Joe Lininger; many nieces and nephews; and countless friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 16th from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Avenue, Toledo, OH 43623. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 17th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 2950 Ilger Avenue, Toledo, OH 43606. Burial will be private. Memorial donations may be made in Sue's honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
