Wayne Wanamaker Obituary
Wayne R. Wanamaker, age 70, passed away Monday, July 16, 2018 at St. Mary's Hospital in Tucson, Arizona.
Wayne was born in Toledo, Ohio to Helen and Warren Wanamaker. He was a graduate of Whitmer H.S. class of 1966. In 1968 Wayne enlisted in the Marines and served in Vietnam from 1968-1970. In 1981 he received his Bachelors in engineering from the University of Toledo. He worked in Michigan, Mexico, and Florida as an engineer. After retiring his career in Florida he returned to his home in Rio Rico, Arizona. He enjoyed golf, adventures, spending time at the local pubs and the V.A. which is where he would be with his friends that became his extended family. He loved his football and keeping up with the golf tournaments.
Wayne was a loving father to his daughter, Reyna and his grandsons, Chase and Kaleb. He was a loving brother to John and Jim. He leaves behind a niece, Jenneve and her two children, Jason and Jillian and two step-children, Eric and Stephanie from his marriage to Karen.
He will be missed by all that knew him. Special thanks to Hilda's, Miggies, and the V.A. We had a celebration of life in Rio Rico and further arrangements will be made for his final rest in Quantico, VA where he will be reunited with his dad, Warren Wanamaker.
Extra special thanks to his dear friends, Joe, Paul, and John B. for all the extra support and kindness. And to his long time friend, Debbie, thank you for everything. He will be missed.

Reyna as I think back of when Wayne and I grew up, going through scouts and all. I send my heart felt condolences. To you , your children, Karen, john & Jimmy. I am sure brother and sister are feeling the loss. A lot of people have been asking questions, people that grew up with him. All send there condolences. Once again I feel your loss.
