Stefan Mayer HAMILTON - Stefan Mayer, 82, of Hamilton passed away Sunday, April 6, 2014. Mr. Mayer was born in Palanka, Yugoslavia. He has been an area resident since 1955. He was the former self proprietor and operator of Mayer's Heating and Cooling Inc. The former vice president of the German American Society, he was a member of the Donauschwabien Club in Yardville. He enjoyed gardening, tending to his fruit trees, making sausage and homemade wine. He was the son of the late Markus and Eva Wagner Mayer, and husband of the late Anne Crimmins Mayer. Surviving are his daughter and son-in law, Karen A. and James P. McDonnell of Great Mills, MD; his son and daughter-in-law, Stefan M. and Kellianne Mayer of Cinnaminson, NJ; three grandchildren, Shannon M. McDonnell, Markus N. and Abaigeal; his sister and brother-in-law, Eva M. and Adam Martini of Hamilton; many nieces, nephews and cousins. The funeral will be 8 a.m. Saturday from Knott's Colonial Funeral Home, 2946 South Broad St., Hamilton. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Mercerville. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call Friday 5 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to a charity of your choice.
