Dear Pat and Mark,

I have many fond memories of the time we spent with you and Fred over the years. From holidays to campaign events, Fred was a constant presence in our lives. He was a great friend to my father and was always willing to help when something needed to be fixed around the house. He will be missed.

My deepest condolences to you at what must be a very difficult time.

Warm Regards,

Matt

Family of Alfred Frances Morelli

I was just made aware of Alfred's membership in the Holy Name Society by one of his fellow members in the St. Raphael/Holy Angels parish; unfortunately, his Holy Name Society membership was not in the obituary.

Since I was not able to be present at the vigil, Mass and interment, I would like to offer a short prayer on behalf of our deceased brother Alfred:

God of all consolation, in Your unending love and mercy for us show compassion to Your people in sorrow and be our refuge and strength in lifting us from the darkness of this grief for a lost member of the family.

We pray that Alfred, who has been devoted to God in life, will find a place with Jesus in heaven. Eternal rest grant to Alfred, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. Amen.

Blessings,
John Moroze, Sick & Vigil Chairman

Dear Pat, Mark, and Rachel,

I think that the quality that stands out the most for me, and also for others who have written here, is his graciousness. Even for distant neighbors. He was always welcoming, even to the children (like mine) who wandered over to talk to him in your garage. He will be remembered well by all.

Dear Pat and Mark
I was so sorry to hear of Fred's passing. I was blessed to have him as my Godfather and we were blessed as a family to have him -- and the two of you -- in our lives. Fred was such a sweet, decent man. There are too many fond memories to recall, but a few do stand out: Fred always had a butterscotch candy on hand; he always had a story to tell (like the time he knocked Rocky Marciano through the ropes) and he always did a magnificent job helping decorate the Christmas tree on Christmas Eve. He will be missed. Love, Tim

As my mom offered, i have so many fond and fun memories of "Uncle Fred", who taught me how to play tennis at the courts in Cadwalder Park, which took a significant amount of patience. The most fun I had with Fred was going water skiing. But more importantly, he was a constant figure in my parents lives- from skiing in Vermont to driving my Dad around on campaign stops. He was always there with a story and a drink, and always eager to help. I am so sorry for the loss that Pat and Mark are experiencing and hope that our words and thoughts and love for Fred in some small way provides a tonic and warms their hearts. We all lost a dear, sweet friend and protector. And i just know that he and my Dad are stirring things up in Heaven.
Love Elise

Dear Pat and Mark, I'm truly sorry that I won't be able to express my sympathy in person. I know Chris is planning to represent me and hopefully Cynthia will be able to join him. As Elise who lives in CA shared, learning of Fred's passing brought a flood of memories: playing tennis with Fred and trying water sking, watching Fred and her parents drink Manhattans, eating ice cream and watching tv together with Fred. Fred was the driver for Art's election day stops and during the campaign. Fred was famous for a libation known as "Fred's medicine". Fred provided so much assistanace to the handyman-impaired Art Holland. Fred was an usher in our wedding. I probably first got to know Fred when he took me along on a ski trip to VT with the Trenton Club in the late 1950s. He was Godfather to Tim. And of course, had Art and I expired, Fred and Pat were to "take our children." So there was a long history. We are grateful for Fred's friendship. He was forever postive and supportive. As Elise said, "Fred was a sweet man." Hopefully, he is discussing politics - a favorie pursuit- in heaven. My family expresses our sympathy to you both. Dan George joins us in that.

Dear Pat and Mark,

We have so many fond memories of Fred. We were blessed to have you as friends and neighbors. I will always remember all the times Fred lent tools and gave advise on projects I was doing. Our time on Beech Avenue was some of the best ever. He was never too busy to help.
Pat, you and Fred's involvement in your community was something to be admired. From the interstate expansion to the co-generation plant to local politics. Your committment and hard work brought about needed change. Thank you for making our neighborhood a better place to live and raise our family.

All Of You Are In Our Prayers, see you soon.

These are some of the wonderful memories that I have of my uncle. Uncle Fred was a real character. He always loved to tease us as we grew up. I remember being afraid of drowning (not knowing how to swim) but he would take this into his own hands--literally--and throw me in! He believed that a natural instinct would bring me to the surface--but he watched, just in case. He always tried to engage his neices and nephews in a sport or two. Tennis or water skiing were two of his choices. My brothers and I will never forget the attempts we had to water ski. We knew he was THE professional when we finished the session. But we had fun riding in his boat or in his convertible.
A donation to Divine Mercy CatholicRadio, Melbourne, Fl will be made in his honor.
May God bless him and Our Blessed Mother wrap him in her mantle of love.
Love,
Elaine McGavern

Dear Pat:

Anoter star from the sky over Trenton has been dimmed.
Needless to say Fred was unique. He never failed to offer help when needed, was always jocular, and brought a smile to my face when ever we spoke. for over half a century, I enjoyed Fred's company, in the Mercer Young Dems, Tennis, our weekly luncheon when he debated with George Ronko, over the size of the joint tip, and the kindness, and graciousness he possessed.
I was so pleased to have spoken to him when I called from Virginia last year.

Please know you all have my deepest sympathy, and that we share your loss.

Sincerely
