Ella Martin

Ella Ross Martin, 92, of Mount Pleasant, died Friday, Oct. 3, 2003. Ella was born June 18, 1911, in Point Marion, a daughter of the late Charles F. and Ora Baker Ross. She was a member of the Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Point Marion High School with the Class of 1929 and the University of West Virginia, Class of 1933, with a degree in home economics. She taught at Point Marion High School and later was employed at the Peabody High School as the cafeteria manager. She was member of the Pennsylvania Retired Teachers Association. She is survived by her sister, Lucille R. Brown, of Mount Pleasant. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Paul E. Martin, in 1991. Friends will be received in the EUGENE G. SALOOM FUNERAL HOME INC., 730 W. Main St., Mount Pleasant, Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m., at which time her funeral service will be held with the Rev. Jay F. Shaffer officiating. Interment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Cemetery.
