John Fiorillo Obituary

John F. Fiorillo Sr. West Mifflin John F. "Monk" Fiorillo Sr., 90, of West Mifflin, died unexpectedly Friday, Aug. 31, 2012. He was the beloved husband of the late Barbara "Babs" (Folger); loving father of Michele "Mickie" Fiorillo, Colleen (Joe) Rostas, Michael (Sharon) Fiorillo, Johnny Fiorillo Jr. and Robbie (Jackie) Fiorillo; grandfather of Li'l Al and Julie Simco, Lexi, Breann and Mikey Fiorillo, Giavanna and Vincenzo Fiorillo; great-grandfather of Carmella and Adelina Simco; son of the late Michele and Carmella Fiorillo; and brother of Anne Cusick, the late Joseph D. Fiorillo, Antoinette Sitchek and Adeline Fiorillo. He retired from the B O Railroad after 43 years of service. He was an Army World War II veteran who served in the 472nd Paraglider Battalion from 1943 to 1946. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME INC., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pleasant Hills. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Spirit Church. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Barbara A. Fiorillo Memorial Fund for Pulmonary Fibrosis, C/O United Community FCU, 6010 Mountainview Drive, West Mifflin, PA 15122 or to the Alzheimer's Association, 1100 Liberty Ave., Suite E-201, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.
