Sharon E. Ruffing

Sharon E. Ruffing died Sunday, April 6, 2014, in Jefferson Regional Medical Center. She was the beloved daughter of Frederick C. and Joyce E. Schmidt, of Jefferson Hills, and the much-loved and cherished wife of Thomas Ruffing, of Jefferson Hills. Her son, Thomas C. "T.C." (Leann) Ruffing, of Ohio, was the love of her life. The gift of her granddaughter, Anna Rose Ruffing, made each day special and she thanked God for this very special gift to the family. Sharon is also survived by her brother, Frederick C. (Laurie) Schimdt, of West Mifflin; and in-laws and other family members. Sharon was the nurse/office manager for Dr. Ingrid Holman of Elizabeth Township. She was dedicated to her job and loved her patients. Sharon's compassion and love extended to all around her including animals, birds and flowers. Her life made a difference in this world. She will forever be remembered by her family and friends. Friends will be received from 2 top 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2014, in the PAUL E. BEKAVAC FUNERAL HOME, 221 N. Interment to follow at Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Township.
