Alice Evans

Alice Evans, 90, formerly of Plum, passed Sunday, April 30, 2023. Beloved wife of the late George "Bob" Evans; mother to Melissa (Bob) Santopietro and Jubal L. (Jackie) Evans; grandma to James Santopietro, Jason (Kelly) Santopietro, Kimberly Evans, Jacilyn Evans and Johnathan Evans; great-grandmother to one great-granddaughter; and aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Caroline Stone, Loren Casort, Robert "Bob" Casort, Mervin Casort and Marvin Casort. She was a member of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, where she was active in the choir. She was a book lover with a great collection. Alice loved to crochet, often making many lap blankets to donate to the VA. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 3, at SOXMAN FUNERAL HOMES LTD., 7450 Saltsburg Road (at Universal Road) Penn Hills, where a service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 4. Interment in Monongahela Cemetery.
