Arthur R. Kenyon

Arthur R. "Art" Kenyon, 94, longtime resident of Plum, passed peacefully Thursday, June 24, 2021. He was the beloved husband for 65 years of the late Mildred "Milly" (Putzlocker) Kenyon; loving father of three daughters, Kathryn (Frank) Olszewski, Susan (Thomas) Horvat and Judy (Timothy) McKenna; grandfather of Jeffrey Horvat; and great-grandfather of Kyle Horvat. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bret and Bessie (Caffall) Kenyon; and his sister, Elizabeth. After Millie passed, Art moved to Catawba Island, Ohio, to be with his daughter. Prior to his passing, he also resided in Marblehead and Sandusky, Ohio. Art retired from Diebold in 1989 and then was self-employed servicing safes, safe deposit boxes and locks for AAA and various local banks and businesses. He proudly served his country in the Navy during World War II, stationed in the Mediterranean on an LST32. He loved telling his stories. Friends will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at MAURICE L. KNEE, LTD. FUNERAL HOME, 7663 Saltsburg Road (across from S & T Bank), Plum, PA 15239, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday. Interment will follow in Plum Creek Cemetery.
