Albert Puskaric Obituary

Albert A. "Scalube" Puskaric, 79, of White Oak, died Friday, Oct. 24, 2003, at his residence. He was born Sept. 25, 1924, in McKeesport to the late Ivan and Mary Puskarich Puskaric and was a retired layout man for Alliance Steel, where he worked for 41 years. For more than 15 years, he worked at the McKeesport Carnegie Library. Mr. Puskaric was a World War II Army veteran and a member of St. Martin de Porres Parish, White Oak American Legion Post 701, CFU Lodge 146, the Croatian Men's Club, the Legion Memorial Association, the 11th Ward Welfare Association, the McKeesport Heritage Center, the Renzie Park Seniors, AARP White Oak Chapter 2294 and the CFU Pensioners Group. Surviving are his wife, Pauline Rozzi Puskaric; son and daughter, Albert A. and Paula Puskaric of White Oak; grandson, Luke Puskaric; brother, Lawrence Puskaric of Elizabeth Township; sisters, Sister Andrea of Columbia, Pa., and Anna Vuk of McKeesport, and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and noon to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the JAYCOX-JAWORSKI FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2703 O'Neil Blvd., McKeesport. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday in Sacred Heart Church, McKeesport. Entombment will follow in New St. Joseph Cemetery, North Versailles.
