Anthony Emanuel Xenakis died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013. He was born Feb. 6, 1925, in Pittsburgh, and raised in Kountouma Village, Ikaria, Greece. He was the beloved husband of 62 years to Despina; cherished father of Kathy (John), Ergetti, Emanuel (Dee), Alex (Vinci) and Theodore (Colleen); adored Papou to Paraskos, Andoni, Despina (Clint), Kelly, Deedee, Nikki, Tony, Angelo, Alexa, Shane, Teriann and Despina Joy; and treasured uncle, brother and friend. He was a World War II veteran and lifetime member of American Legion, AHEPA, Pan-Icarian Brotherhood and Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church. Funeral arrangements by BEINHAUERS. Friends welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at 2630 W. Liberty Ave., Dormont, 412-531-4000. Additional visitation will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday until time of funeral liturgy at 11 a.m. in Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church, 123 Gilkeson Road, 15228. Interment at Jefferson Memorial Park.
